About Vy
Vy Moon resides in Montgomery, AL with his wife, Brittany, and their four children.
After graduating with a Bachelors in Communications Radio/TV degree at Alabama State University he spent time working as production manager in radio broadcasting, and served as youth pastor and elder in his local church RiversEdge Church.
Vy is now fully committed to give life and hope by way of hip-hop music. He's performed in Alabama, Florida, Wisconsin, Idaho, and even across the U.S. border to Port Au Prince, Haiti. Vy has toured with non-profit organization The Extreme Tour, held concerts in men and women prison facilities with Prison Fellowship ministry, and youth detention centers with Hope Inspired Ministries. Vy works weekly inside of two prisons teaching re-entry and workforce development programs for incarcerated individuals. He also works closely with his local school district preaching and performing regularly inside of multiple Montgomery Public Schools and holding songwriting and music production training sessions for students.
His songs and interviews have been featured on radio stations, publications, blog sites, and playlists around the world with listeners giving personal testimonies of hope and healing through his music. He’s worked with notable producers such as fellow Alabama native M16 (produced for Lil Wayne, 2 Chainz, Jeezy, Andre 3000 and more) and Grammy Award winning producer Zaytoven.
Vy represents for the T.H.U.G. - The Homies Understand Good. A movement started by Vy aimed at calling forth those who are considered outcasts, forgotten, or least but know in their hearts that there is no real "good" without God through Christ Jesus.
His passion is to inspire, empower, and encourage listeners with the love, power, and peace of Jesus Christ through his music.
